“北京电子乐偶遇”是城际声浪和小萍新音乐俱乐部合作组织的一个为期三天的系列活动，旨在为身在不同领域的电子音乐家和艺术家们建立一个沟通和对话的平台。同时，“北京电子乐偶遇”是集合实验音乐家和电子乐家的首次盛会。

Metrowaves & XP new music club collaborate on a 3-day event aiming to connect musicians and artists from different electronic music scenes & groups. Beijing Electronic Music Encounter (BEME) will be the first event of its kind, bringing artists and audience together from the live experimental music scene and the studio electronic scene — each of which is fragmented within itself.

这是一个发生在耳机和广播系统之间的辩证对话，DJ和现场演出，软件和硬件, 噪音和音乐共生。

This is a dialectic between headphones and PA, DJ and live, software and hardware, noise and music, dance and transfixion.

活动为期三天，在三个分会场。我们将为大家呈现出一个多样的横断面，混种多变的全新电子乐，就将在2012年的北京上演。北京电子乐偶遇 将在2012年10月19——21日在小萍新音乐俱乐部开启。10月19日礼拜五小萍的演出结束之后，我们将转战DADA酒吧，派对继续。10月21日晚上，在杂家，将会有氛围音乐演出。

We will meet over three days, at three sites, for a curated cross-section of the hybrid form that “electronic music” assumes in 2012 Beijing. BEME will take place Friday-Sunday, October 19-21 at XP. On Friday, October 19 there will be an after-show event at DADA Bar, and on Sunday, October 21 there will be an evening ambient music session at Zajia Lab.

BEME 2012 invites for an open afternoon session in a new format. ‘Talk & Play’ invites artists, guest & audience to discuss the current landscape of urban music culture in Beijing and to actively participate with short musical performances in free formats. The audience is invited to take part both with words & sounds. Fresh coffee provided by Rickshaw Roasters.

Metrowaves is a Beijing-based platform dedicated to the development of the electronic music scene in Beijing and China, providing access to international exchange. Metrowaves aims to support the presence of the local electronic music scene and to be part of its dynamic development. Metrowaves focuses on the gathering of electronic music producers with their audience in new formats and collaborations. Metrowaves initiates the exchange and encounters with artists from other genres, cities and parts of the world.

D-22 — 中国最具影响力的后朋克，地下摇滚和实验音乐演出场地，始于2006年，于今年一月关张大吉。XP（小萍）新音乐俱乐部，即D-22的转世化身，于今年五月在地安门悄然启动，XP俱乐部将继续D-22的任务，并赋予其一个崭新的意义。D-22孕育了众多中国知名乐队： Carsick Cars, P.K.14, Joyside, Snapline, 刺猬, 后海大鲨鱼, White+, AV大久保等等。相比于昔日的D-22，XP俱乐部则更聚焦实验和自由即兴音乐，我们着眼于寻求新的合作机会，新的演出形式。

D-22, the most influential venue for post-punk, underground rock & experimental live music in China, closed its Wudaokou club after 6 years and recently reincarnated as XP (小萍) in Di’anmen nei. D-22 became the birthplace and home of many of the most present Chinese bands, such as Carsick Cars, P.K.14, Joyside, Snapline, Hedgehog, Queen Sea Big Shark, White+, and AV Okubo, to name a few. Unlike its Wu predecessor, XP sets its focus on experimental and improvised music and opens up for new collaborations and a new program.
