Eyes Behind China Tour

Parisian kraut-art-rockers EYES BEHIND are coming to China for a short tour this summer. This is one of the first projects organized by Walk the Line, a new sub-label of Tree Music orchestrated by scene veteran and P.K.14 frontman Yang Haisong. Eyes Behind has carved out a solid niche in their local scene, playing with such indie luminaries as Pains of Being Pure at Heart and one of my favorite current US bands, Grass Widow. Eyes Behind also has a China connection — their drummer, Zaza Zhang, is a mainlander who has toured with P.K.14 in the past.

Eyes Behind 2009年成立于巴黎，最初是由来自中国的留学生Zaza和契维，以及法国女孩Mariette组成。乐队自活跃于巴黎地下音乐场景以来，打破了地下音乐圈车库当道的风气，也由于是法国少有的多国籍女子乐队，她们很快吸引了法国独立音乐圈的注意。乐队成立初期，法国知名独立乐队Cheveu的主唱David Lemoine担任她们的第一任制作人，录制了一系列单曲，乐队得到了斯特拉斯堡独立音乐节Molodoi的演出机会。此后，乐队分别在法国其它城市与来自美国西海岸的女子乐队，如Brilliant Colors（Make A Mess Records，该乐队贝斯手也曾在Slits担任吉他手），Grass Widow（Kill Rock Stars Records），以及The Pains of Being Pure at Heart共同演出。2010年乐队与Cheveu乐队键盘手Olivier Demeaux合作录制了首张专辑，之后贝斯手契维离开乐队，Olivier Demeaux正式加入乐队，同时任贝斯和键盘手。

乐队在2011年1月通过巴黎厂牌Heia Sun发行了首张同名专辑《Eyes Behind》，获得法国以及欧洲独立音乐界的一致好评。来自柏林的两位艺术家Antonio Sobral和Stefan Fähler共同为这张唱片设计了封套，后者也是CAN乐队日籍主唱铃木达摩目前的工作搭档。这张专辑也即将在中国由树音乐的分厂牌Walk The Line发行。2011年，乐队开始一系列的欧洲巡演，并将在夏天来到中国。
