Hidden.Fashion by Zhang Da

Our friends at the shop are supporting Shanghai-based fashion designer Zhang Da in a project called Hidden.Fashion, wherein the designer repurposes donated cloth “to investigate the relationships between our bodies, clothing material and life.” Info on how to participate in this project can be found below (copied from “Hidden.Fashion and Old Clothing” document by Zhang Da and Vitamin Creative Space).

张达的服装设计，通过 “穿“——穿什么，怎么穿——让我们思考更多空间的可能性，由此，衣服成为 独特的媒介让我们意识到身体，以及身体周遭意识形 态的影响。从2010年5月开始，张达和这个店合作的“潜-时-装”的项目将正式展开，这个项目将在时间中演变出衣料和我们身体、生活进程的关系。

You can send items such as clothes, blankets, bedsheets, towels, coats, etc. which are not being used often to Zhang Da’s studio in Shanghai before 30 July 2010. Upon receipt, Zhang Da will recreate them as new clothing to be sold. Donors of the used clothing items can email Vitamin Creative Space to register their info. Zhang Da will put the information of the clothes’ source and donors on the tag of the new clothing. When the clothing has been reworked, the shop will send a photograph to you. Should you wish to purchase the item, you may do so at a 15% discount.

在2010年7月30号之前，大家可将平时不用的衣服、被单、床单、毛巾被、毛衣等衣料寄往张达在上海的工作室，回收后，张达将把他们改造成新衣出售，曾经捐赠过衣服的人，可以通过电子邮件：project@vitamincreativespace.com， 在这个店里留下记录，他们如果想买这些改造过的衣服，可以享受一定的折扣。捐赠衣服时，请将您的姓名，手机或者邮箱发送到,服装改制后，我们会发服装 照片给您，如您喜欢愿意购买，可以享受8.5折优惠。

Conditions for Donations of Clothing:

– Items should be those that are not being used.
– Male and female clothing are equally acceptable. No restriction on the clothing’s variety or season.
– As a matter of hygiene, please refrain from donating dirty or stained clothing.
– Donated items can be old/with damage, but the usable area of the material should not be less than 50 square cm.
– Please do not donate undergarments.
– Unused bedsheets and thin blankets (which can be restructured as clothing) can also be donated.

捐赠衣物条件：

—闲置不用的衣服
—男女装不限，季节不限，衣服的品种不限
—从卫生角度讲，有脏的，污损的衣服请不要捐赠
—衣服可以是就旧的，有破损的，但可利用的面积不少于50CM
—内衣请不要捐赠
一些闲置不用的床单，薄毯子等（即可以用于改制衣服的），也可以捐赠。
