Ban Ban, erstwhile lead vocalist of Boyz & Girl and old new drummer of Carsick Cars, is coming back to Beijing for a little while this September and we’re happy to organize a show to coincide with her visit. The Taipei native has bounced back and forth between Taiwan and the mainland working on various musical projects over the last year. She most recently released 1984-2011, a new EP by her psych-folk project Skip Skip Ben Ben:

On FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 23 Skip Skip Ben Ben (with local talent filling in on bass and drums) will play at What Bar along with Mr. Ray and new lo-fi garage duo 有喜, which features the drummer and guitarist of hiatus-prone Zebra Run.
