So, pangbianr’s 3rd anniversary is Saturday, June 1. We’re using that weekend to announce Sinotronics, a new label. Sinotronics is a collaboration between pangbianr and Metrowaves, one of China’s premiere electronic music platforms. It’s essentially a dialectic between our two spheres of activity: experimental/noise/improv & electro. For a reference point, you can recall last year’s Beijing Electronic Music Encounter, which was essentially put together by the same team.
So Sinotronics will be a label. Not a “platform,” not a “collective,” we have enough of all that. It’ll be a label with physical releases. Old school. We’ll kind of informally kick it off and usher it into the world on Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1 at The Other Place, a courtyard bar off Beiluoguxiang (map here). Friday is a Metrowaves joint, Saturday is pangbianr’s 3rd birthday rager. Both are FREE and run from noon til midnight. Full info below:

旁边儿六月一日迎来三周岁生日。我们会借此机会公布Sinotronics：一个新的音乐厂牌。Sinotronics是旁边儿和Metrowaves（城际声浪）的合作计划，你可能还记得去年我们一起合作办的 “北京电子乐偶遇” 。现在我们将携手打造全新的Sinotronics。内容将全面覆盖Metrowaves支持的电子音乐和旁边儿支持的实验/噪音/即兴音乐。
