Three Shadows x UCCA x Instituto Cervantes x pangbianr present:

An evening of film and music on Thursday, 30 September at Three Shadows Photography Art Centre in Caochangdi. A short film by Spanish photographer Alberto García-Alix will be screened in conjunction with his show at UCCA gallery in 798.

实验短片放映和音乐演出，9月30日在草场地，三影堂画廊。三影堂摄影艺术中心与尤伦斯当代艺术中心（UCCA）联合举办西班牙著名摄影家阿尔贝托•加西亚•阿历克斯短片户外放映会。

Jordan Thomas Mitchell will present his eclectic fingerstyle guitar work against the backdrop García-Alix’s photos, which portray street life in Madrid, Paris, and Beijing. Xiao Hong Yu Xiao Xiao Hong (featuring Zhu Wen Bo, the organizer of D22’s weekly experimental Zoomin’ Night) will provide a set of minimal electronics, which well suit the aesthetic of García-Alix’s films.

Yan Yulong (of Chuiwan and Sister Oriented) will end the evening with a solo electric viola performance of dense, richly melodic harmonies layered under sporadic arpeggios and more atonal bursts that betray the musician’s appreciation for Philip Glass and Steve Reich.

The screenings will start at 7, music at 8. Door price is 20元, which will be used to pay the artists.
