Raying Temple is a self-sufficient musical enclave. A band could get the idea, practice, perform and record all in one place, with booze and beds on-site to fuel the process. The weird ambience and well off-the-beaten-path location in Tongzhou makes Raying Temple a welcome alternative to the more established “Beijing proper” clubs and fosters a self-selecting DIY community.

When I first moved to Beijing full-time I was surprised to learn there were two experimental nights every Tuesday. After reading Pete DeMola’s thorough article on D22’s Zoomin’ Night, I wanted to profile its late counterpart: Waterland Kwanyin at 2Kolegas.

同时，由他们建立的 Nojiji 地下文化品牌至今也有六年时间了。这次小雷音新的空间要大很多，有足足300多平米，空间有分为两层，第一层有青年旅社，可提供远道的来客住宿，空间确实比较大，看上去确实像是旅馆，还有就是Nojiji的乐手们的排练房也还是在一层，二楼是酒吧、演出场地、还有50-60米长的走廊空间里布置展出各种作品，包括艺术装置，绘画，海报，还有Nojiji发表系列作品的陈列等。
